You can reach Fiji either by sea or air. You can find many connecting flights to Fiji. Make sure, however, to book your flight in advance to avoid the expensive peak season ticket prices. Peak season includes the period from April to October and the Christmas holidays. In Fiji, you can get around via different types of transportation: bus, boat, tram, car, motorcycle and local transport. The climate in Fiji is tropical and compatible to outdoor activities. The temperature range is from 66 degrees Fahrenheit to 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
If you are from the United States and other exempted countries, you only need your valid passport to enter Fiji. You do not have to apply for a visa prior to your visit. Make sure, however, that your passport will still be valid for up to three months after you leave the island nation. Bring along important travel documents, such as your travel itinerary.
